Stark Community Foundation’s Partners in Giving program offers a meaningful way for donor advised fundholders to engage with local needs. Through the program, donors receive an inside look at grant proposals submitted by nonprofit organizations across the community—providing insight into current challenges and opportunities. It also creates a simple, impactful way to give, allowing donors to co-invest alongside the Foundation in projects that align with their passions. By bringing multiple donors together, Partners in Giving turns individual generosity into collective impact.
That shared approach made a difference in 2025 through support for St. John’s Villa. With support from multiple donors, a grant helped fund bathroom renovations for its residential facilities that are home to 47 adults with developmental disabilities. As the homes age and residents’ abilities change, traditional bathrooms can present safety risks and limit access to basic care. The upgrades introduced wet room bathrooms designed for accessibility, allowing residents to be safely assisted into showers, especially for those who use wheelchairs or are unable to step into a bathtub independently. This improvement enhances daily care while preserving dignity, comfort and independence, showing how collective generosity, guided through Partners in Giving, can create thoughtful and lasting change.
