John Mick, a retired Timken Company control analyst, and his wife, Betty, established a scholarship fund in 2005 to benefit Stark County students who have been accepted into engineering programs in Ohio.

Although both John and Betty have passed away, their scholarship fund has provided nearly $600,000 in financial assistance to help aspiring engineers further their education. In 2020 alone, 17 students received scholarships totaling $49,380.

Because of the Micks’ passion for learning and the next generation of Stark County leaders, students like Bradley Eberhardt from Washington High School and Madison Reidl from Perry High School have the opportunity to invest in themselves and their future with an advanced education.
