Bell-Herron Scholarship Foundation
Est. 2019 / Scholarship Fund
The Bell-Herron Scholarship Foundation was originally established in 1963 and is named in honor of two former Carrollton superintendents – W.R. Bell and J. Wendell Herron. To perpetuate their love of learning, scholarships are awarded annually to Carrollton High School graduates to make the possibility of earning an advanced degree a reality.
Throughout the years, many donors in the Carroll County community have contributed to the foundation in honor and in memory of local individuals, families and businesses.
The Bell-Herron Scholarship Foundation provided $59,250 in academic support to 36 Carrollton High School graduates in 2020, including Jennie Stine who is pursuing a degree in nursing at Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences. To date, more than 1,300 college scholarships have been awarded totaling $1,515,350.
At Stark Community Foundation, we aim to make giving as simple and easy as possible.
