Every day, we award grants to charitable organizations to support various causes in the community – everything from the arts and animal welfare to economic development and mental health.

Since we were established in 1963, Stark Community Foundation and our growing family of donors have invested nearly $300 million in Stark County and beyond. Grants come in all sizes –ranging from $100 to $1 million–and all make a meaningful difference.

In 2025, Stark Community Foundation and its family of donors awarded $26.8 million in grants to 927 organizations, representing the largest grantmaking year since the Foundation’s inception. With 1,020 charitable funds at the Foundation, grants of all sizes supported a wide range of community needs, from career planning and college scholarships to airport security and services for families affected by cancer.

Explore these impact stories behind eight of those grants, uncovering the motivations and passions of the compassionate individuals, families, businesses and nonprofits that have established charitable funds through Stark Community Foundation.
