The family of Doug and Phyllis Worth established this fund to honor their memory. Doug Worth created “a lasting legacy to Stark County during his tenure as Executive Director of the United Way from 1951 to 1980 and as the Secretary of the Timken Foundation from 1980 to 1986.” The fund will provide assistance to various programs to assist special needs children, run-away and abused children, capital funding projects and preservation of historic buildings in downtown Canton.

Darrell and Susan Wright feel very strongly about doing their part to help the community. This fund will not only do that but also foster this sense of giving back for their son, Cameron, who will carry on this legacy in the future.

The YMCA’s endowment represents gifts and bequests from numerous donors who share a special interest in the organization’s work with young people and families. This fund includes the 100th Anniversary, Camp Telpahak Leadership, Camp Tippecanoe, Canton South, Fellows, Hoover-Price, Jack Vagotis Youth Sponsorship Trust, Lake Community Center, Louisville, North Canton, Northeast YMCA Corn Center Fund - J R Milano and Shaeffer Bequest Subfunds.
