Daniel Blend established this fund to honor the memory of his wife Joan, a career nurse. The fund provides scholarships to qualified Stark County residents for undergraduate or graduate studies in nursing.
Mrs. Joyce Hannon created the Bluebird Farm Endowment Fund for the continued operation and development of Bluebird Farm Park in the Carroll County Park District. Funds are to be used for the expressed purpose of maintaining property, facilities and to expand conservation, preservation, outdoor education and appreciation of natural resources in Carroll County.
The Bluecoats created an endowment fund to ensure it had a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding to support its world-class youth programs in music and performance training. This fund includes the Bluecoats Asset Replacement Subfund and the Frank Pasquerella Memorial Scholarship Subfund.
As part of her estate planning, Ruth B. Boger established a Charitable Remainder Unitrust with Stark Community Foundation as a residual beneficiary. Her wishes included that this fund also be in memory of Mr. and Mrs. S. Roy Boger, Kenneth Boger, and Clair Boger. Miss Boger was a 1920 graduate of McKinley High School, a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Canton, and a worldwide traveler. She died in 1988.
