A Charitable Remainder Trust will ultimately benefit several of the donors’ favorite charities through this fund.
This designated fund was established in 2015 by Cutler Real Estate to honor the memory of Jim Bray, a realtor with Cutler for 49 years and its president for more than 30 years. Jim, a Jackson Township resident for more than 50 years, loved the Jackson community and schools and served them both in many ways during his lifetime. Jim also loved Scouting, achieving the Eagle Scout Award in high school. Income from the fund will support an annual $1,000 scholarship awarded to an Eagle Scout graduating from Jackson High School, recognizing their service to Scouting and to the Jackson Schools and community.
The fund has been established to support the work of the JRC Child Care & Family Center in providing assistance to families in the Northeast section of Canton. The Center was built on the site of the J.J. Burns Grade School.
Maggie Brookins created a scholarship fund in memory of her son, Tim, who passed away in 2018 from leukemia. A graduate of McKinley High School and U.S. Army veteran, Tim was a free spirit who loved to travel and enjoyed detailing cars. Scholarships are awarded annually in his name to graduating seniors from McKinley Senior High School to pursue their passions.
Special members’ events at Brookside Country Club benefit this fund which provides college scholarships for caddies and other young employees of the club as recommended by a scholarship committee. This fund includes the Patti Cress Subfund.
Brookwood Management Company and Danbury Senior Living established a corporate charitable fund to support organizations and initiatives in the communities they serve.
This scholarship fund was created in honor and memory of J. Carl Brosch, a longtime member and supporter of the Greentown Athletic Club Inc. Income from this fund provides college tuition scholarships to top students who have demonstrated excellence in both the classroom and the community.
