John G. and Betty J. Mick Scholarship Fund

John and Betty Mick established a scholarship fund for Stark County students who have been accepted into Stark State College of Technology’s Engineering Program for a two-year degree which would transfer to a four year degree at another University or have been accepted into the Engineering Program at any University or College in the State of Ohio.

Lt. Colonel Robert G. Moreland Vocational/Technical Fund

The donor, Lt. Colonel Robert G. Moreland created this scholarship fund for students who demonstrate financial need and intend to pursue vocational or technical education that will lead to an associate degree or vocational credentials.

The Multicultural Committee of MRDD raised this scholarship fund as part of its extra-curricular activities at the Workshops. Income is to be distributed for “Fostering Diversity for Special Needs Scholarship Awards.” Awards are made to full-time juniors or seniors majoring in special education or a related field in a four-year college or university in the area.

Notre Dame Club of Canton, Ohio Scholarship Fund

The Notre Dame Club of Canton has created a scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to students attending the University of Notre Dame who are graduates of high schools in Stark, Tuscarawas and Eastern Wayne counties, which is the area serviced by the Club. Grants and loans are awarded based upon academic performance, extra-curricular activities and financial need.
