Margaret S. Gilbert Scholarship Fund

This trust was established as a memorial to Margaret S. Gilbert. The net income of the trust is to be used to provide college scholarships to female graduates of any Stark County public high school who attend Oberlin College and major in one of the natural sciences, in mathematics or in history.

In memory of Mr. Gilbert’s distinguished career as president of Citizens National Bank and of his wide community involvement, his widow, Helen dedicated memorial contributions received after his death in 1998 to create The Richard G. Gilbert Educational Fund.

James H. and Shirley L. Green Scholarship Fund

James H. and Shirley L. Green Scholarship Fund

Jim and Shirley Green established this fund to benefit graduating seniors from Canton South High School who demonstrate a need for financial support.

Dr. James H. Heckaman Memorial Scholarship Fund

Dr. James H. Heckaman Memorial Scholarship Fund

Mrs. Patricia Heckaman and daughters Tammy, Kelly, Shannon, and Holly established this scholarship fund as a memorial to Dr. Heckaman, a local dermatologist who died in 1996. Income from this fund provides annual scholarship awards for educational expenses for college-level study to graduates of Hoover High School in North Canton, as recommended by Hoover High School Selection Committee.

Dale O. Heimberger CRNA Memorial Scholarship Fund

Formerly the Nurse Anesthesia Scholarship, this fund was renamed in 2000 to honor Dale O. Heimberger, CRNA, a dedicated nurse anesthetist. A nominating committee reviews applications and recommends recipients for scholarships from income of this fund. Qualified applicants are Ohio residents with scholastic aptitude and demonstrated financial need who are pursuing college-level study in nurse anesthesia at an Ohio school.

Raymond T. Hoge Scholarship Fund

Raymond T. Hoge Scholarship Fund

Marjorie Hoge established this fund in memory of her son Raymond. The fund benefits Perry High School students or alumni who are in undergraduate school pursuing a degree in Business or Education.

Minnie Hopkins Scholarship Fund

Minnie Hopkins Scholarship Fund

  • EST. 1993

The Minnie Hopkins Scholarship Fund was established in 1993 by Ironrock and Fishers Foods to encourage the children Minnie cared so much about to take advantage of the educational opportunities that lay ahead of them and is presented in honor of her commitment to them. The Minnie Hopkins Scholarship is awarded to graduates of Lathrop/Compton Elementary School, or its successor school(s), who attended that school for a minimum of three years and graduated from a Stark County public high school and have been accepted by or are pursuing a college or technical education beyond high school.
