A humanitarian, Rod was passionate about formal education, mentoring and the value of practical experience, as demonstrated by the firm’s internship program. June, who passed away in 2009, also worked in the marketing field and served as Covey and Koons’ Media Director and Vice President of Finance for 38 years after studying psychology and accounting at Kent State Stark and Walsh College. June was an avid reader and shared Rod’s interest in books and education.

To continue the Coveys’ passion for lifelong learning, scholarships are awarded annually to help Hoover High School graduates achieve their educational goals and avoid student loan debt.
