Stark Community Foundation is accepting grant proposals for the second cycle of its 2015 discretionary grantmaking program. The deadline to submit online proposals is Friday, September 4. In order to be considered for funding, grant applicants must be either a 501(c)(3) organization in good-standing, tax-exempt private agency or government entity located within Stark County, Ohio only or directly benefitting Stark County. Five local nonprofits recently received grants totaling $13,470 through the Massillon Area Community Civic Trust Fund, a field of interest fund at Stark Community Foundation. From 12 they have grown to 182 donors with assets over $300,000 with over $60,000 in grants distributed back to the community since its inception.
