Western Stark Free Clinic Continues to Make an Impact

Western Stark Free Clinic’s mission is alive and well today, thanks to the creation of a charitable fund in its name. After the Clinic closed in December 2014, the Clinic’s board transferred its remaining assets to Stark Community Foundation to create The Western Stark Free Clinic Charitable Fund. The Women's Fund Awards More Than $12,000 to Local Nonprofits

In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, The Women’s Fund, a permanent endowment fund of Stark Community Foundation, recently awarded more than $12,000 to Stark County nonprofit organizations that foster opportunities for women and children of all ages, cultures, ethnicity, races and abilities. Stark Community Foundation Grant Deadline Approaching

Stark Community Foundation is accepting proposals for two charitable grant programs – the first cycle of its 2016 Discretionary Grant Program and its SummerTime Kids Program. The deadline to submit online proposals is March 4 and March 11 respectively. In order to be considered for funding, grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization in good-standing, tax-exempt private agency or government entity located within Stark County or directly benefitting Stark County. The Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and a Cleveland-based nonprofit are teaming up to help small and medium-sized manufacturers.
