Carrie L. Bast Named CFO of Stark Community Foundation

Carrie L. Bast has been named vice president and chief financial officer of Stark Community Foundation.

Bast joins the Foundation from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) where she served as chief operating officer since 2014 and previously as director of budget and business services. During her time at NEOMED, she had direct oversight of the university’s annual operating budget and managed the day-to-day operations of the administration and finance division as well as evaluated and monitored the university’s endowment funds.

“We are fortunate to have attracted such a strong and collaborative leader with over 25 years of experience in investments, accounting and financial planning and analysis,” said Mark J. As CFO, Bast will be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of Stark Community Foundation’s growing asset base of nearly $300 million. She will oversee the Foundation’s finance, accounting, investment management, audit and human resources operations.
