Health Foundation of Greater Massillon Accepting Grant Proposals Until August 31

Health Foundation of Greater Massillon (HFGM), a supporting foundation of Stark Community Foundation, is currently accepting grant proposals for its fall grant cycle until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 31.

Eligible applicants must be a tax-exempt private agency, 501(c)(3) organization (that is recognized as a public charity) or government entity. Proposals must demonstrate well-planned programs and activities that promote physical, emotional and mental health while directly benefiting residents in Western Stark, Northern Tuscarawas or Eastern Wayne counties.

HFGM’s board of directors, comprised of local active and retired business professionals, will review grant proposals and determine which projects will be funded in October. The board places significant emphasis on data-driven philanthropy and strongly advises that grant proposals incorporate community data. To better understand the community conditions influencing HFGM’s geographic funding areas, including data regarding poverty, education, income, housing and health outcomes, refer to www.starkcf.org/HFGM under the Resources section.
