3rd Annual THINKBIG Scheduled for October 17-23

From October 17-23, Stark Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Stark County are hosting THINKBIG, a weeklong event of community conversations centered on poverty. The county-wide event is designed to bring people together to discuss community needs and brainstorm ideas for how Stark County can work together to drive positive change.

During the week, nearly 50 THINKBIG community conversations will take place virtually and in person across Stark County. Residents will come together in small groups to discuss the harsh realities of poverty, community resources that can help and ideas for escaping it. To help illustrate what it’s like living in poverty, participants will use the real-life story of a woman named Claire, a single mother who barely makes enough to get by and has no stable support system. More about Claire’s story and her budget are available online at www.thinkbigstark.com.

Anyone who lives, works, learns and plays in Stark County is encouraged to attend a THINKBIG conversation. Registration is required. View the list of conversations and RSVP at www.thinkbigstark.com.

Participants are encouraged to complete an online survey to share what was discussed during their conversation. The ideas developed during THINKBIG will shared with the community in November.
