United Way of Greater Stark County – Emergency Assistance
Individuals and families seeking emergency financial assistance with rent and mortgage payments can contact United Way of Greater Stark County at www.uwstark.org.
Resources for Organizations
SCORE Canton – Business Advice
Both for-profit and nonprofit businesses needing assistance navigating the available business resources as a result of the COVID-19 crisis (CARES Act, small business loans. etc.) can contact SCORE Canton, a network of local retired and active business professionals, at www.canton.score.org. With social distancing guidelines in place, SCORE Canton is currently holding meetings using video conferencing as well as through email and phone.
Local Philanthropic Collaborative – Emergency Funding
Local 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, churches and government entities affected by COVID-19 can apply for emergency funding through a local philanthropic collaborative. Applications are reviewed on an on-going basis by area funders and grants are currently being awarded to organizations for programs that provide: assistance to homebound seniors, pandemic childcare, mental health services, shelter and homeless services and other documented emerging needs. United Way of Greater Stark County – Volunteers
Organizations that need volunteers during this unprecedented time can submit a volunteer request to United Way of Greater Stark County at www.uwstark.org/our-work/covid-19-information. United Way will then connect organizations to local individuals interested in giving back to Stark County.
