Stark Community Foundation Seeks Proposals for Youth Summer Programs

Stark Community Foundation is seeking grant proposals for its SummerTime Kids initiative from now until Friday, March 13 at 4:30 p.m.

SummerTime Kids provides grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 to be used for summer programs benefitting Stark County youth. Proposals will be reviewed by a volunteer committee of donors and community members, and preference will be given to programs that:

• Challenge youth to learn and grow through educational programs and activities
• Address mental health needs of youth
• Help reduce summer learning loss at local libraries
• Teach youth financial literacy
• Provide summer meals and snacks in low-income areas
• Engage youth in arts and culture
• Introduce youth to new experiences on area college campuses
• Serve a diverse location or populations of youth

In order to be considered for funding, grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization in good standing with the IRS and located within Stark County or directly benefitting Stark County. Requests will also be considered from tax-exempt private agencies and government entities.
