THINKBIG Planned for October 25

On October 25, Stark Community Foundation and Strengthening Stark are teaming up to host THINKBIG: a day of engaging community conversations, the culminating event of Strengthening Stark Week. The county-wide, inaugural event is designed to give residents a voice and bring people together to brainstorm solutions to community needs while celebrating the good in Stark County.

On this one day, nearly 200 community conversations will take place across Stark County with approximately 2,000 diverse individuals who care about our community and its future. The majority of conversations will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Residents will come together in libraries, restaurants, office breakrooms, coffee shops, homes and everywhere in between to share their experiences, thoughts and ideas on how to strengthen Stark County.

Each conversation will be among 6-10 people and focused on one of the following societal issues:

  • Arts & Culture
  • Childcare
  • Community Improvement
  • Drug & Alcohol Addiction
  • Education
  • Employment & Entrepreneurship
  • Entertainment & Recreation
  • Environment & Public Space
  • Food
  • Healthcare & Medicine
  • Housing
  • Inclusion
  • Mental Health
  • Transportation

Participants are encouraged to complete a brief survey immediately following their discussion. This critical data will be compiled and analyzed by The Center for Community Solutions, a nonpartisan Northeast Ohio think tank focused on solutions to health, social and economic issues. The findings of THINKBIG will be released early 2020.

Anyone who lives, works, learns and plays in Stark County is encouraged to attend a THINKBIG conversation. Registration is required. RSVP today at www.thinkbigstark.com. For more information, contact Stark Community Foundation at 330-454-3426.
