Over $60,000 Awarded to Fund Youth Summer Programs in Stark County

As part of Stark Community Foundation’s SummerTime Kids initiative, over $60,000 in grants were recently awarded to 32 local organizations to fund youth summer programs in Stark County.

Guided by an all-volunteer committee made up of Stark Community Foundation fundholders and Employers Health employees, SummerTime Kids provides grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 to be used for imaginative and unique summer programs for children with an emphasis on character and education. These grants are made possible through the generous support of Foundation donors who want to make a positive difference in the community. Since inception, $1.4 million has been invested in this initiative that aims to enrich the lives of local youth.

Three organizations receiving SummerTime Kids grants this year include Easter Seals Northern Ohio, Faith United Methodist Church and Paul and Carol David YMCA.
