Funding Available for Youth Summer Programs

Stark Community Foundation is accepting grant proposals for its SummerTime Kids initiative from now until March 9 at 4:30 p.m.

SummerTime Kids provides grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 to be used for imaginative and unique summer programs with an emphasis on character and education. Guided by a volunteer committee and Foundation staff, SummerTime Kids awarded over $70,000 last year to fund a myriad of programs such as educational activities, day camps and theatre classes.

In order to be considered for funding, grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization in good standing with the IRS and located within Stark County or directly benefitting Stark County. Requests will also be considered from tax-exempt private agencies and government entities.

To apply and learn more about the Foundation’s grantmaking instructions and policies, visit www.starkcf.org and click on the “Grants and Scholarships” tab. Grant recipients will be announced in May.

SummerTime Kids grants are made possible through the generous support of Stark Community Foundation donors who want to make a difference in the community. Since inception in 1992, SummerTime Kids has provided more than $1 million in support of local programs that are enriching and fun for children during the summer.
