Learn about the generous donors who have established charitable funds through Stark Community Foundation.
Stark Community Foundation recently surpassed $250 million in assets thanks to the continued generosity of the Stark County community.
The Foundation’s growing asset size not only strengthens the Foundation’s and its family of donors’ investment position, it also creates additional funds every year to benefit Stark County. Since 2008, the Foundation has increased its assets by 85%.
“Our success is a result of kind people from all walks of life who feel passionately about making a difference in our community and beyond,” said Mark J. Samolczyk, president and CEO of Stark Community Foundation.
The $250 million milestone was reached this fall as the Foundation continues to manage more than 700 charitable funds created by generous individuals, families, businesses and nonprofits who wish to maximize the impact of their charitable giving.
“This milestone is a true testament to the generous spirit of Stark County,” added Samolczyk.
Founded in 1963, Stark Community Foundation currently ranks in the top 10 percent of community foundations in the United States. The Foundation and its family of donors have granted more than $145 million to nonprofits since inception.
