Stark Community Foundation is accepting grant proposals for its 2017 Fall Discretionary Grant Cycle and its SummerTime Kids initiative. The deadline to submit online proposals is March 3 and March 10 respectively.
In order to be considered for funding, grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization in good-standing, tax-exempt private agency or government entity located within Stark County or directly benefitting Stark County. The Foundation does not award grants to individuals except through scholarship funds.
Discretionary grants are awarded twice a year to address community needs and invest in solutions that strengthen and improve our community.
Celebrating its 25thanniversary, SummerTime Kids is a grantmaking initiative of Stark Community Foundation. Guided by a volunteer committee and Foundation staff, it provides grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 to be used for imaginative and unique summer programs with an emphasis on character and education.
Request for funding is accepted only through the Foundation’s online grant application system. To apply and learn more about the Foundation’s grantmaking instructions and policies, visit www.starkcf.org and click on the “Grants and Scholarships” tab. Grant recipients will be announced in May.
Grants to the community are made possible through contributions from visionary donors who want to make a difference in the community.
