The Women’s Fund Endowment of Stark Community Foundation recently held its Annual Gathering at Arrowhead Golf Club to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of four Stark County nonprofit organizations.
Congratulations to the 2014 grant recipients:
Alliance for Children and Families – Conducted the video series from Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University lectured by local retail banking representatives, partnered with Mount Union University aides, and then hosted a celebratory banquet with all participants.
Boys and Girls Club of Massillon – Educated youth in planning and setting life goals, mentored youth during their summer employment at Goodwill, provided a college field trip, and practiced taking the ACT test.
Catholic Charities Serving Portage and Stark Counties – Conducted classes for mothers to improve parenting skills and safety in the home.
Quest Recovery and Prevention Services, Inc. – Taught adolescents by reading and reviewing books to develop tools for personal, career and life management as they transition into sobriety, out of foster care and the criminal justice system.
