For Students

Stark Community Foundation is one of the area's major sources of college scholarship support. In 2018, over 300 local students were awarded over $660,000. Offering 100 diverse scholarships, these opportunities are made possible by generous individuals, families and businesses to benefit students from Stark and Carroll counties.

Starting January 1, students can begin applying for scholarships for the 2019-2020 Academic Year through our online application portal, AcademicWorks. The deadline for the majority of the Foundation's scholarships is April 1, but pay close attention to the deadline date when viewing the opportunities.

Stark Community Foundation's comprehensive online scholarship program:

  • Provides students an easier way to discover and apply for scholarships
  • Streamlines all scholarship opportunities into one application
  • Automatically matches students to scholarships for which they qualify
  • Recommends scholarships to students that require additional information (essay, series of questions, etc.)

To learn more about our scholarship opportunities, eligibility requirements and information on the donors who created each scholarship fund, please visit Stark Community Foundation's Application Portal.

Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions to be sure you are eligible before you apply. For detailed instructions on the online application, please review our Application Guide.
