Investing in imaginative and unique summer youth programs

SummerTime Kids is a competitive grant initiative of Stark Community Foundation. Guided by a volunteer committee and Foundation staff, it provides grants up to $2,000 to imaginative and unique summer youth programs. These types of programs enrich the loves of the youth who participate and benefit the community as a whole.
Primarily makes grants to IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) public charities, educational institutions, or government entity located within Stark County, Ohio only or directly benefiting Stark County.
Preference will be given to programs that:
Multiple applications from the same organization will be accepted only if the program serves a different population of children.
Up to $2,000
Application Opens: Nov. 24, 2025
Application Deadline: Jan. 16, 2026
Awards: March 2026
Grant award recipients will be notified by email of the Committee’s decision.
Only online applications will be accepted. Apply online through Stark Community Foundation’s Grant Portal.
Organizations receiving grant funding from the SummerTime Kids initiative are required to complete an evaluative report at the end of the grant period. This report must include a written narrative on the impact of the grant and financial details of how the grant funds were spent. Failure to submit a final report will impact the organization's ability to secure future funding from Stark Community Foundation.
