Educational and Funding Opportunities

Expand Your Knowledge

You can expand your knowledge of the pressing issues facing our community through a number of our educational and funding programs offered to our family of donors:

  • SummerTime Kids

Serve on our SummerTime Kids Committee and review grant applications from local organizations interested in offering imaginative and unique summer programs for area children. Collectively, the committee evaluates these applications and decides what organizations in our community receive summertime funding.

  • Partners in Giving

Learn more about the issues facing area organizations by taking a look at every grant proposal received through the Foundation's competitive grant process. Throughout the year, local organizations apply for funding for a specific project or initiative they are looking to implement, and we share these proposals with our fundholders. By reviewing these proposals as part of our Partners in Giving program, you will see grantmaking through the eyes of the Foundation and have the opportunity to co-invest with us to make these projects and initiatives a reality.

  • Immediate Impact Alert

Find out all the need-to-know information about urgent needs in our community and how you can effectively and immediately respond. Immediate Impact Alerts are sent via email to donors when critical needs arise in our community, allowing you to learn, give and make a difference.

  • Site Visits

Learn more about current community needs and solutions by attending site visits to area organizations. By taking a behind-the-scenes tour, you can learn more about the organization's mission, programs and services, impact, finances, staff and more.

  • Beyond the Basics

Receive monthly emails that provide tips and articles about how to make the most of your philanthropy by being strategic and effective in your grantmaking. Check out our past e-newsletters.

  • Events + Seminars

Attend social gatherings and various events throughout the year that are designed to provide ongoing education for donors, with topics ranging from multi-generational giving and strategic philanthropy to community conversations and forums.
