Nonprofit Holiday Giving Guide

Posted on November 28, 2022

If you would like to support your community this holiday season but aren't sure how, Stark Community Foundation can help. Our Nonprofit Holiday Giving Guide is a curated list of year-end needs of 10 local nonprofits serving our community.

  • Access Health Stark County: This year, Access Health Stark County set a minimum goal to provide 300 laundry soap or hygiene baskets to participants in need during the holidays. A donation of $100 will provide four hygiene baskets put together and distributed by Access Health staff.
  • AHEAD Inc.: A donation of $200 will provide gifts for an entire Massillon City Schools family, $100 will provide a family with a holiday meal and $75 will purchase a student's coat.
  • Beacon Charitable Pharmacy: A donation of $250 will purchase a continuous glucose monitor, $100 will purchase and administer four flu vaccines, and $100 will purchase five rescue inhalers.
  • Compassion Delivered: A donation of $100 will provide two weeks of meals and purchase a gas card for a family with a life-threatening illness traveling from our local area to the Cleveland Clinic or University Hospital for treatment.
  • EN-RICH-MENT: A donation of $150 will send one EN-RICH-MENT theater student on an overnight trip to the Asante Children's Theater at the Asante Art Institute of Indianapolis. Exposure to this larger venue gives students a broader perspective of the theater world and an opportunity to interact with Asante’s participants.
  • Hammer & Nails Inc.: A donation of $250 will purchase enough primer for an entire house in Stark County, which protects and enhances the value of a home and its neighborhood. A typical paint job requires seven gallons of primer when using high-quality Glidden paint.
  • The Legacy Project of Stark County: A donation of $100 will cover the cost for a student to participate in a school-based imPACT group, which includes 35 weeks of mentoring curriculum focused on social and emotional well-being and all activity supplies.
  • Stark County Hunger Task Force: A donation of $100 will provide holiday turkeys for six local families who are struggling with food insecurity. With food at the center of many holiday gatherings, donated turkeys will help local families make memories and keep their traditions alive this holiday season.
  • Tiqvah Hands of Hope: A donation of $250 provides an underserved family with one Tiqvah Holiday Giving Spectacular, which includes a holiday meal, hygiene and household supplies, a gas card, board and card games, a gift card and a local family entertainment experience.
  • The Wildnerness Center: A donation of $250 will preserve one acre of forest, $175 will provide 25 students with an engaging day in nature filled with fun and educational programming and $100 will keep 10 miles of The Wilderness Center's trails maintained.
