Straight from Stark Video Series: Episode 8 with the Stark County Diaper Bank

Posted on July 23, 2020

In this week’s Straight from Stark episode, hear from Shannon English Hexamer about how the Stark County Diaper Bank is working with distribution partners across the county to provide free diapers to families in need. Statistics show that an infant needs up to 12 diapers each day, which equates to almost $1,000 a year spent on diapers alone. The Stark County Diaper Bank’s hope is to relieve some of that financial burden for low-income families by providing extra diapers to get them through each month.

In this episode, you will learn about:

  • how the Diaper Bank is helping our community’s babies become drier, cleaner and happier
  • the addition of 5 emergency distribution partners to make diapers more accessible during the pandemic
  • volunteer opportunities and drop-off locations for diaper donations
