Straight from Stark Video Series: Episode 7 with Refuge of Hope

In episode 7 of Straight from Stark, we’re at Refuge of Hope Ministries to talk with Jo Ann Carpenter, director of development, as she gives us a look into the nonprofit’s mission to supply meals for hungry families, provide emergency shelter for homeless men and assist those men with transition to independence— even during a pandemic.

Since early March, Refuge of Hope has provided 11 hot carry-out meals each week for families in need and has moved 77 previously homeless men from its shelter into their own apartments where they are able to live independently.
