We Invest

Stark Community Foundation has been dedicated to the stewardship of charitable assets for nearly 50 years. Today, Stark Community Foundation actively manages more than $166 million in assets. With the goal of enabling donors to maximize their philanthropic giving, SCF's investment strategy is designed to achieve maximum returns while minimizing risk. Funds are invested to provide safety through diversification in a portfolio of stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other investments. The Investment Review Committee is responsible for prudent investment management. It establishes guidelines for the investment portfolio, approves asset allocation and reviews performance with the support of an independent investment consultant, Colonial Consultants. Stark Community Foundation helps strengthen local nonprofit agencies with financial support of local programs and services. Since our inception, we have awarded more than $106 million in grants. Donors also provide grant funding in scholarships and directly to organizations through donor advised funds, donor designated funds, and field of interest funds. Click here to learn more.
