There are more than 700 community foundations in the United States.

There are 83 community foundations in Ohio.

We serve the Stark County community.

Mission Statement

Stark Community Foundation is dedicated to promoting the betterment of Stark County and enhancing the quality of life for all of its citizens. The Foundation will endeavor to be exemplary in its leadership in addressing community needs and challenges, in its integrity and imagination in serving the charitable interests of its donors, in its ability to create interest among others in becoming donors, and in its stewardship of its charitable assets.

Stark Community Foundation has several components:

Donors

Our Donors are people with ties to the Stark County community.  They have a strong interest in supporting the community.  Donors often times have a fund in their name, or in the name of a loved one.  They build their fund up and have the opportunity to make gifts to non-profit organizations, or to students in the case of scholarship funds.

Neighborhoods

"You don't have to move to live in a better neighborhood."

Neighborhood Leadership is very active in Canton, Ohio. More than fifty neighborhood organizations cover all areas of the city and include a wide variety of socioeconomic groups. Most of these organizations began at the grass roots level to address particular problems in their immediate areas. With organization and training provided by the Stark Community Foundation, they have developed the skills to work together with a common goal of achieving lasting community improvements for the entire City of Canton. Click here to learn more about events in your neighborhood.
