1. Type of Award: Scholarship
2. Eligibility: a. Graduates of Carrollton High School or are seniors attending Carrollton High School who will graduate in the year the scholarship is initially awarded.
b. Have a permanent residency in Carroll County, Ohio or who had a permanent residency on the date they began their post high school education. Residents of Fox Township or East Township are to be given priority.
c. Have been accepted at and are planning to enroll, or currently enrolled, at an accredited college, university, or technical school to pursue further education in any program or field of study approved by the Committee
3. Criteria for Selection:
Students must epitomize the following personal traits, namely, a. Academic merit as demonstrated by above average accomplishment in high school as measured by grade point average and test scores
b. Determination and desire to succeed as demonstrated by brief biographical essay and references from teacher(s), school administrators, pastors, or others
c. Participation in extracurricular school and civic activities
d. Good moral and personal characteristics, including integrity and an interest in their communities
e. Demonstrate the requisite financial need
f. No member or relative of a member of the Committee or Carroll County Foundations Board of Governor’s or of Stark Community Foundation's Board of Directors is eligible to receive a scholarship award from this fund.
