Proceeds from this Fund provide scholarship support for Stark County high school seniors who have been accepted into a four-year college or university.
Through a life estate gift Mr. Aldridge established the fund to benefit the Community Charitable Fund of Stark Community Foundation.
Josephine Allensworth provided for this fund with a trust she created in 1977. The fund is to benefit programs in Stark County that serve neglected and abused children, the homeless and hungry, and for programs that promote the care and protection of animals.
The Board used proceeds from the sale of The Alliance Area Garden Center building to establish this endowment. A Civic Trust Board of nine members makes grant recommendations for projects in the Alliance area.
The Alliance Area Preservation Society is restoring and preserving the Haines House to address the educational, historical and social needs of the Alliance community. It was established in 2004 with an initial gift from Evan and Suzanne Morris.
The Guild makes recommendations concerning grants to be made from the fund, either for the sponsorship of concerts, recitals and educational programs, or for scholarships.
The donors designated the income from this trust to benefit the First Lutheran Church of Beach City, Ohio.
