Endowment Funds
Established 2004
The Alliance Area Preservation Society's restoring and preserving the Haines House to address the educational, historical, and social needs of the Alliance community. It was established in 2004 with an initial gift from Evan and Suzanne Morris.
Animal Protection Guild Endowment FundEstablished 2000
Organized in 1982 to provide the community with a low-cost spay/neuter program, this local non-profit, all volunteer organization established this fund to perpetuate its efforts to use humane means to prevent pet overpopulation.
Established 1993
This fund, in the form of a Memorial Fund and Endowment, helps to support the former residents of the Aultman Home for Aged Women.
Buckeye Council, Inc. Boy Scouts of AmericaEstablished 1986
This endowment consists of three component funds: The first is the Frank G. and Edna Hoover Trust, originally established in 1977; Second is the W. Henry Hoover Trust; Third is the Buckeye Council's Endowment Fund in Stark Community Foundation, which includes endowment contributions from several donors. The income from these three funds provides operating support for the Buckeye Council.
Canton Area YMCA Endowment FundEstablished 1986
The YMCA's endowment represents gifts and bequests from numerous donors who share a special interest in the organization's work with young people and families. Sub funds supporting the YMCA Endowment Fund: YMCA 100th Anniversary Endowment Fund; YMCA Canton Area Endowment Fund; Northeast YMCA Corn Center Sponsorship Trust; YMCA Fellows Endowment Fund; YMCA Louisville Endowment; North Canton Teen Board; YMCA Canton South Endowment Fund; YMCA Shaefer Bequest Fund; YMCA Camp Telpahak Leadership Endowment; YMCA Camp Tippecanoe Endowment Fund; YMCA Jack Vagotis Youth Sponsorship Trust
Canton City Schools FoundationEstablished 1987
Income from this fund is used for the "support of special programs and activities which will promote and encourage the pursuit of excellence by all students attending the public schools in the district." A Board of Trustees of the Canton City Schools Foundation makes grant recommendations.
Established 1998
Housed in a building donated by Key Bank, established with the support of the City of Canton, and utilizing the professional services of volunteer local doctors and dentists, Canton Community Clinic provides care to needy individuals in this underserved inner-city area. The goal of this endowment is to assure the financial stability and continuing operations of the Clinic for years to come.
Canton Palace Theatre Association Endowment FundEstablished 1992
Using contributions from many persons in our community who have made the continuing restoration and operation of the historic Palace Theatre possible, the non-profit Association established this endowment both to encourage further contributions and to provide income for operations and special projects at the theatre.
Canton Preservation Society Endowment FundEstablished 1999
Canton Preservation Society preserves the historic landmarks of Canton, Ohio, and provides education to local citizens concerning historic preservation. The endowment fund was established to help ensure the agency's continuing operations.
Canton Rotary Endowment FundEstablished 2004
Created in 1973, this Endowment Fund, which was transferred to Stark Community Foundation in 2004, exists for the benefit of the Rotary Club of Canton, Ohio, Inc. and the numerous charitable, educational and civic organizations it supports. Founded in 1915, the Rotary Club of Canton, Ohio, Inc. has a long and rich tradition of service to the citizens of Canton, greater Stark County and the world.
