Our Mission

The Women's Fund is a permanent endowment to benefit future generations and increase vital funding for programs which advance the economic, educational, physical, emotional, social, artistic, and personal growth of women and to educate and inspire women to become leaders in philanthropy.

The interest area of this fund includes nonprofit agencies and their programs or projects that meet the needs of women and children in the Stark County area.

The Women's Fund convenes community members who care about women and children's well-being in order to help set a focus for future funding via The Women's Forum. In this way, we serve as a catalyst for needed projects.

The Women's Fund will award charitable grants to non-profit organizations serving women and children as prioritized in the 2012 Women's Fund Forum.

The following categories were selected for this year's Request for Proposals (RFP):

• Education-Provide tools to access education
• Network-Create a network of peer/mentor support for women in need
• Finance-Promoting financial health for women and girls

The Women's Fund is committed to benefit both women and children.
Grants will be awarded from $500 to $3,000. All projects must be completed by Friday, August 30th.
