Health Foundation of Greater Massillon

Health Foundation of Greater Massillon (HFGM) was created when Massillon Community Hospital and Akron General Medical Center entered into a joint venture in 1999. Committed to continuing to support innovative health and wellness programs and initiatives, a foundation was created to ensure resources would be available to support those causes. Since inception, more than $3 million has been awarded to local organizations focused on improving the health and wellness of individuals and families in our community. Most recently, HFGM joined Stark Community Foundation as a supporting foundation, which will provide a multitude of benefits that will enhance HFGM's philanthropic impact. One of the key benefits to partnering with Stark Community Foundation is approximately $100,000 in annual cost savings that can be reinvested into the community to support health and wellness programs.

Supporting Foundation Partnership

HFGM will look to Stark Community Foundation to share community knowledge and philanthropic strategies, oversee an online grant application process, conduct due diligence on potential grantees and handle all administrative oversight on behalf of HFGM's Board of Directors.

Board

HFGM's Board of Directors works closely with organizations to strategically address health and wellness issues facing area residents, particularly those who are economically disadvantaged.

Grantmaking

If you are interested in applying for funding, an online application and grant guidelines will be available in January.
